This most recent workshop was again hosted by SOS Baku and led by Ms. Simona Sabbatini. The following was kindly contributed by Ms. Fidan Suleymanova (SOS Azerbaijan):
¨Impactful and sustainable vision for the future’ workshop for the joined collaboration between SOS Azerbaijan and SOS Georgia took part in Baku, Azerbaijan on June,10-14 2019 with the support of B.E.I. Foundation. The main idea of the collaboration was to identify the personal and organizational strength, acquire the tools and achieve the sustainable results in the future through methods delivered by Mrs. Simona Sabbattini. Colleagues acquired the Appreciative Inquiry tool, Pareto’s Law and P.E.R.M.A. model. Moreover, colleagues were able to share their experience working with the children, deprived of the parental care and exchange with innovative projects. The tools which are provided to the participants are essential not only for their jobs, but also for their everyday life. During the workshop, participants talked about Positive Education and Positive Psychology; worked on changing the challenges into opportunities; learned about the concepts of children’s workshop and once again became aware that you can live your dream life and happiness is not a result, is a cause!¨ Thank you Fidan, Simona, SOS Azerbaijan and SOS Georgia for joining forces and putting together this important workshop. Well done everyone!!

In September BEI sponsored a workshop in Baku for the first time. This unique week was initiated by Ms. Fidan Suleymanova who invited Ms. Simona Sabbatini to Baku in order to coach and empower the children of SOS Children´s Villages Azerbaijan. This was both a challenging and an emotional week both for staff and children and tears were shed upon Simona´s departure :( But we promise she´ll be back! After the success of the BEI teacher training in Uganda back in April, Ms. Simona Sabbatini and Prof. Reeta Sonawat returned to Uganda for another training in order to fulfil the growing demand for such workshops. We would like to thank Buyemba Suubira Uganda Organisation (BSUF) for planning, orginizing and hosting this teacher training. Thanks again Reeta and Simona for making the long journey once again and putting your all into it. Well done everyone! |
